Munksjö Implements MASTIX ALM Studio
Munksjö has implemented ALM Studio to strengthen treasury risk analysis across its balance sheet.
The selection followed an evaluation of multiple alternatives. The deciding factors were broad instrument coverage, flexibility in the analytical workflow, and the ability to work directly with the platform from Excel and Python.
ALM Studio was not selected as a replacement for the Treasury Management System. It was an analytical layer around it, giving the treasury broader risk coverage and more flexible ways to work with the results.
With ALM Studio, Munksjö can:
- model financial contracts across the balance sheet in one analytical workflow
- run treasury analysis with more flexibility than a traditional TMS-centered setup
- work directly from Excel for hands-on analysis and Python for scheduled reporting
Customer perspective
Lotta Malm, Head of Treasury at Munksjö, explains the choice:
"With business operations and financial instruments in markets like Brazil and China, we required a flexible and powerful tool to effectively analyze our financial risks. With ALM Studio, we've found a perfect complement to our Treasury Management System [TMS] that enhances our ability to support the business. The ability to interface directly with the software from Excel for hands-on analyses and Python for scheduling reports gives us great flexibility."
Treasury setup
This implementation shows where ALM Studio fits in practice:
- as an analytical layer alongside an existing Treasury Management System
- for treasuries that need broader contract coverage and more flexible analysis
- for teams that want both interactive work in Excel and automated workflows in Python
